Our Commitment to You

At First Baptist Church in Dorchester, we value your trust and generosity. We are committed to handling all financial matters with integrity and transparency. If you are ever unsatisfied with a transaction, we will work with you to make it right.

Donations

General Donations

We understand that circumstances may change. If you have made a donation and need to request a refund, we offer a 30-day refund policy for general donations. To request a refund, please contact our office within 30 days of your donation with the following information:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Date of donation
  • Amount of donation
  • Reason for refund request (optional)
  • Original receipt or transaction ID (if available)

Designated Donations

Donations designated for specific purposes (such as building funds, mission trips, or special projects) may have different refund terms depending on whether the funds have already been allocated. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to discuss a refund for a designated donation.

Recurring Donations

If you have set up a recurring donation and wish to cancel or modify it, please contact our office at least 5 business days before your next scheduled payment. Cancellation requests received after this time may result in one additional payment being processed.

Event Registrations

Full Refund

A full refund is available if you cancel your event registration:

  • More than 14 days before the event date
  • If the event is cancelled by the church
  • Within 30 days of registration, regardless of event date (whichever comes first)

Partial Refund

A 50% refund may be available if you cancel your event registration between 7-14 days before the event date, subject to administrative fees and non-refundable deposits where applicable.

No Refund

Refunds are generally not available for cancellations made less than 7 days before an event. However, we understand that emergencies happen, and we will consider requests on a case-by-case basis.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us using one of the following methods:

By Email

Send your refund request to contact@firstbaptistsdorchester.comwith "Refund Request" in the subject line.

By Phone

Call our office at (857) 351-0420 during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM).

In Person

Visit our office at 401 Ashmont St, Dorchester MA 02124 during regular office hours.

Refund Processing

Once your refund request is approved, please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to be processed and returned to your original payment method. Credit card refunds may take an additional 3-5 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.

Exceptions

The following may not be eligible for refunds:

  • Donations made more than 30 days ago
  • Event registrations with clearly stated non-refundable terms
  • Purchases of physical goods (books, merchandise, etc.) that have been used or damaged
  • Third-party fees that cannot be recovered
